School Donations

The Northborough Garden Club donated $100 to the Proctor Elementary School.
Bulbs (for fall planting for all of the new students and staff members to continue to beautify the school grounds)
 
The Northboorugh Garden Club donated $100 to the Peaslee Elementary School to support the courtyard project.
 
May 2008

The Northborough Garden Club donated $200 to the Proctor Elementary School.
The donation funded the following activities:

  • Sunflower Seed packets ( for each incoming kindergartener as part of the preschool story sessions and home activity)
                                    
  • Bulbs (for fall planting for all of the new students and staff members to continue to beautify the school grounds)
  • Gardening tools for kids/plant & gardening books


March 21, 2007

The Northborough Garden Club is pleased to announce donations to Northborough Schools


Each school will receive $200.00 to support projects related to horticulture.

The Zeh School:  The donation will support the purchase of 13 library books related to horticulture.

Marguerite Peaslee School:  The donation will provide financial support to help send a fifth grade student   on the Nature’s Classroom field trip this May.

Proctor School:  The donation will support the purchase of library books related to the schools’ plant curriculum.
 
Lincoln Street school/Algonquin High School DECA team: “Project Plant it Back”:  The donation will support Algonquin DECA student’s project to purchase supplies and materials to renovate and redesign the Lincoln Street School courtyard. The courtyard was once used for outdoor classroom activities and the team would like to restore it.

Robert E. Melican Middle School:  The donation will be used to purchase DVDs and other materials to be used by the sixth grade teachers to prepare the students for their field trip to the Stone Environmental Program.  The items will also become part of the school library collection for future use.
