School Grant Recipients

Peaslee School PTO was awarded a $200 grant in February. They will use the grant to purchase plants, bulbs and garden supplies to beautify their school grounds.

Also shown is another area of the school grounds that students and families will beautify over the months ahead.

Algonquin Regional High School Urban Gardening Class is our most recent $200 grant recipient.

The grant will be used to purchase a variety of birdhouses and the supplies that the class will use to paint and decorate them. The birdhouses will be added to the existing courtyard garden.

These additions will create a more beautiful space for students and staff to find tranquility and enjoy viewing the birds when visiting the garden or through the classroom windows that overlook the space.  (Photos: Urban Garden class students in the courtyard garden with teacher Zbigniewa Giegucz, second row, far left (gazebo photo) and 4th from left (bridge photo))
